The Yorkshire Terrier aka Yorkie is a favorite dog of the show ring and at home. It became a favorite in the Victorian era and has stay high on the Most Popular Dog Breed list, right now it is #13. The Yorkie was recognized by the AKC in 1885. It started out as a dog for the working class and a rat chaser. Its long coat was said to be woven in a loom! The Yorkie left the mills and into the arms of the upper class. If the Yorkie with long hair plays hard the hair will break off and will get the cute shorter hair rough and ready version.

Wheel House Designs Yorkshire Terrier on Blue Sock starts with the Black Diamond lines and under the Cuff in Bold Black Print reads on both sides, "Yorkshire Terrier". In the Portraits show the two different styles of Yorkies. One the show dog and the other the home pet. The Show Dog has a Bright Red Bow and Long Tan. Fawn and Black Hair. Our Home Body Yorkie has shorter hair in Tan, Fawn and Black and no Red Bow. Poses are below and have both types of Yorkies also. You see the Show Dog in White, Black and Tan and White along with one house pet in these colors. This is called the Biewer Yorkshire Terrier.
